Scotts Company's Furterer Appointed President of Cincinnati Flower Grower's Association

MARYSVILLE, OHIO (April 3, 2007) – Don Furterer, territory manager for The Scotts Company Professional Business Group, has been appointed as the new president of the Cincinnati Flower Grower’s Association (CFGA), effective January 3, 2007. His term will be two years. Furterer has been a committee member of CFGA for over nine years, serving as vice president for the last two years.

CFGA is comprised of greenhouse growers, nurseries, retail garden centers, landscape contractors, florists, and related industry manufacturers and suppliers, as well as educational and related non-profit organizations in the horticulture industry.

Furterer has served as territory manager for The Scotts Company in the professional horticulture division for the last 16 years and is responsible for sales in his territory which covers Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia. Furterer is a member of the Ohio Floriculture Association, Ohio Nurserymen's Association, Indiana Flower Growers, Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association, Kentucky Nursery and Landscape Association and Nursery Growers of Lake County. He resides in Loveland, Ohio.
