Scotts Company Awards Guthrie And Cloutier For Sales Performance

Marysville, Ohio (March 26, 2007) – The Scotts Company Professional Business Group has long been recognized as having an esteemed sales team with extensive experience in the nursery and greenhouse industry, serving growers and distributors all across North America. At the company’s annual business conference in Charleston, South Carolina in January, Scotts recognized territory managers Keith Guthrie and Joan Cloutier for dedicated performance and achieving significant growth in their territories for 2006.

A seasoned horticulture salesperson, Guthrie joined Scotts in 1976 is responsible for Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. Guthrie’s area of scope includes sales and troubleshooting for customers in several venues: growers supplying big box stores, nursery re-wholesale companies, landscape design/build companies and independent garden centers. Guthrie belongs to the Southern Nursery Association, the Georgia Green Industry, the South Carolina Nursery Association and the Tennessee Nursery Association.

Cloutier has built a 25-year career with Scotts, gaining experience in the areas of plant nutrition, soils and pest control. Her many duties include making fertilizer and pest control recommendations to growers and conducting technical product training with distributors throughout her territory, which includes California, Nevada and Utah. Cloutier lives in Morgan Hill, Calif. and is an active member of California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA) and several nursery associations.
